You will now be redirected

I don't have much time or incentive to write a real entry right now. I've got too much on the brain.

However, I feel like I should point you to a a download for a very cool record I heard for the first time the other day via Good Bad Music For Bad, Bad Times. The Stalag 7" they posted the other day is absolutely amazing.

Last Days of Man on Earth also posted a great record recently. The Real Enemy demo tape from '83 will blow your brains out if you're into the Negative Approach/Necros style hardcore.

Step 3: Get some sleep.

hi
I'm french and don't speak english very well, but I like your blog, I listen to the same type of music (hardcore!!) and I tried to translate the stalag song.
I know there'll be a lots of mistakes but maybe you'll understand the idea behind the lyrics.

"people make you believe to bullshits, one makes you to want to//
people rid them of you, but the lies you've got them right here//
but the lies, you, you can't know what it is//
you, you come in, you don't know that it could exist//

people make you say bullshits, people make you say you've understood//
they don't even noticed, that you were crying//
but crying, you, you can't know what it means//
you, you come in, you don't know that it could exist//
so listen, my job is to avenge you//
so call me, my job is to listen to you//

don't let the boys buy you, don't let them destroy you//
above all don't hide you, these people are waiting for this//

you don't want to trust me, you'd rather keep your distances//
you can't understand what it means, for me to want to say to you the truth//
I only want, to hide amongst your toys//
to listen to you, to discover your biggest secrets//
I only want, to hide amongst your dolls//
to undress you, to discover your biggest secrets//
I only want, I...
I only want, to discover your biggest... secrets..."

hem...
in the first part, we can believe that the singer wants to protect the girl, but after we understand that the girl is a little younger than expected, and that maybe this man is not the protector that she needs. at least it's what I understood. In the 80's, the (rare good)french songs were often tendentious. I hope I don't ruined your interest for this great example of french punk.

okay, I'm french AND I'm drunk, so maybe you will not even understand the idea behind the lyrics. but apparently you know what we're able to write when we got to much wine in our blood.

WOW! No the impression you get at all from the tone of the song when you don't know the language. That makes it so much better!

Thanks, man!
